Community Employment Program

Employment Specialists and trained job coaches assist individuals in locating compatible employment in the community and meet employment needs of the businesses. The program includes training in job seeking skills, career exploration, job placement, job coaching and follow-up after employment begins. It also provides information and assistance to the business community on employing people with disabilities and addressing barriers to employment for people with disabilities.

Participation in the Community Employment Services program requires an individual to apply to their state office of Vocational Rehabilitation Services.  All referrals received are funded through this state agency and are no cost to individuals or employers that participate in our program.

Community Employment Services provides the business community with information on tax credits, incentive programs, Americans with Disabilities Act and educational material about people with disabilities.

Community Employment Services also provides the business community with assistance on modifying or eliminating barriers to employment for persons with disabilities. All Community Employment Services provided by Shares, Inc. are to no cost to employers.
